Nu Skin sells four handheld devices. They are not four versions of the same thing, and they are not alternatives to one another — each does a different job, and two of them do jobs the others cannot touch.
Here is the short version: LumiSpa iO cleanses and treats. RenuSpa iO contours. GloPRO works on texture. Prysm iO measures. If you are buying your first, it is almost always the LumiSpa.

The three technologies, briefly
Skincare devices generally use one of three approaches, and knowing which is which makes the choice a good deal easier.
- Micropulse Oscillation — a soft silicone head oscillates rather than scrubs. Nu Skin says this is what lets the LumiSpa iO “both treat and cleanse skin” while the treatment cleanser works at the same time.
- Microcurrent — a very low electrical current used for toning and contouring. In the RenuSpa iO, Nu Skin calls it Adaptive Microcurrent Technology, which it says “comfortably adjusts to your skin in real time.”
- Microneedling — works on the skin's own repair response to change texture over months. That is the GloPRO.
Prysm iO belongs to none of these. It is a measuring instrument, not a treatment.
ageLOC LumiSpa iO — $241
This is the one to buy first, and for most people it is the only one they need. Two minutes in the morning, two at night. Nu Skin describes it as a device that “both treats and cleanses skin through its patented Micropulse Oscillation Technology, delivering seven clinically proven benefits” — softness, smoothness, radiance, clarity, firmness, purified skin and reduced pore appearance.
What makes it different from a cheap facial brush: it doesn't scrub. The silicone head oscillates rather than rotates, which is why it can be used twice a day. And the cleanser is part of the treatment rather than just soap. Six cleansers are available, matched to different skin types.
What you should know before buying: it comes with a treatment cleanser matched to your skin type, and replacing that cleanser costs $38 when it runs out. The treatment function is designed around those cleansers. Treatment heads also wear out and need replacing periodically.
Buy it if you want one device that earns its place in a daily routine. Skip it if you won't use it twice a day — the results depend entirely on consistency.

RenuSpa iO — $419
The most expensive of the four, and the one that does something genuinely different. Nu Skin describes it as “Nu Skin's first fully integrated wellness and beauty system, delivering a comfortable and soothing massage while also helping visibly tone, sculpt, and firm skin,” and it works on the body as well as the face.
What you should know before buying: it needs a conductive gel to work, and that costs $74. Nu Skin's directions are 3 to 5 times weekly per area, up to 5 minutes per body area — and specifically not daily. And it does not cleanse; if you buy this instead of the LumiSpa, you still have no cleansing device.
Buy it if you already have a cleansing routine that works and want to add contouring. Skip it if this would be your first device.
GloPRO Microneedling Tool — heads only
NuBodyRx does not sell the GloPRO tool itself; we stock its replacement heads for people who already own one. Microneedling works on skin texture over months, and it is the only one of these devices that involves the skin barrier directly.
What you should know before buying: separate attachment heads are needed for face, eye and lip areas, at $41 each. Heads wear out and must be replaced on schedule — this is not optional. If you have active breakouts, rosacea or any skin condition, ask a dermatologist before using it.
Buy the heads if you already own a GloPRO and your current head is due for replacement.
Prysm iO — $375
The odd one out, and worth understanding properly before you consider it. Prysm iO does not treat anything. Nu Skin says it “measures carotenoid levels in your skin to assess nutritional health without blood tests,” and gives you a Prysm Score in the Nu Skin Vera® app.
Why anyone buys it: supplements are the one category where you normally cannot tell whether anything is happening. Prysm iO gives you a reading you can track over months.
What you should know before buying: it will not change how your skin looks. It measures one thing — carotenoid level — not general health, and a score is not a medical result. At $375 it only makes sense alongside a supplement routine you intend to keep.
Buy it if you take supplements daily and want a number to track. Skip it if you are looking for something that improves your skin — it doesn't.
Common questions
If I can only buy one, which should it be?
The LumiSpa iO. It is used twice a day, so it earns its cost faster than the others, and cleansing is the foundation everything else builds on. The other three are additions to a routine, not a routine on their own.
Do skincare devices actually work?
They work when used consistently with the products they were designed for, and they do very little otherwise. That is the honest answer. A device used twice a day for three months will show you something; the same device used for a fortnight and then left in a drawer will not. Consistency matters more than which one you buy.
How long before I see anything?
For the LumiSpa, Nu Skin's own promise is “results you can feel — instantly”: “in just two minutes, twice a day, you'll achieve instant results.” For the RenuSpa, Nu Skin's own study ran for 12 weeks. Microneedling is the slowest of the three. Individual results vary, which is why you have 90 days to send anything back.
Can I use more than one?
Yes, and they are designed to work together. LumiSpa cleanses and treats; RenuSpa contours on its own schedule. Prysm measures something entirely separate and doesn't interact with either. GloPRO should be used on its own days rather than stacked with the others.
What does it cost to keep using them?
LumiSpa needs treatment cleanser at $38 and periodic replacement heads. RenuSpa needs conductive gel at $74. GloPRO needs attachment heads at $41 each. Prysm iO needs nothing at all after purchase. Factor this in before comparing the headline prices.
What if I buy the wrong one?
You have 90 days to return it for a full refund, and that applies even if it has been opened and used. Devices are the one category where you cannot really know until you try, which is why the window is what it is.
