How to Build a Complete Anti-Aging Routine with Nu Skin Products
Effective anti-aging isn't a single product — it's a system. The best results come from addressing several levels at once: topical treatment for the skin, device-based treatment where it earns its place, and nutrition for systemic support.
But read the last section first if you're short of time. The routine you'll actually keep beats the ideal one you abandon, and most people start with too much.
The four pillars
- Cleansing and treatment — a daily cleansing step that also carries treatment claims, so it replaces a step rather than adding one
- Topical actives — serums and creams targeting specific concerns
- Nutrition — supplements covering the gaps in your diet
- Protection — daily SPF, which has more behind it than anything else here and costs the least
The starter routine — where almost everyone should begin
Step 1: ageLOC LumiSpa iO, morning and evening
The ageLOC LumiSpa iO ($241) is the highest-impact entry point, because it is the only step here you do twice a day.
Nu Skin's own claim: "Two minutes, twice a day is all it takes for award-winning ageLOC® LumiSpa® iO to deliver a smoother complexion, seven clinically proven skin benefits, and smart IoT technology that helps you personalize your routine." Also printed: "Instantly softer and smoother skin after one use."
It comes with a treatment cleanser matched to your skin type; replacements are $38. The treatment claims belong to the device-plus-cleanser pairing, so budget for both.
Step 2: a daily multivitamin
While the LumiSpa works from the outside, a foundation multivitamin covers the gaps in your diet. LifePak Nano ($237) is Nu Skin's premium option — "a comprehensive nutritional anti-aging program formulated with advanced levels of key nutrients and nanotechnology to help nourish and protect cells, tissues, and organs throughout the body." LifePak Anti-Aging ($118) is the more affordable formula in the same family; we are not going to tell you the two are equivalent, because Nu Skin does not. Which LifePak is right for me? →
Step 3: sunscreen
Non-negotiable, and the cheapest thing on this page. Sunright Face & Body SPF 50.
The intermediate routine
Add: a treatment serum
ageLOC Tru Face Future Serum is the product in the range with the most specific printed claims — "revealing visibly improved skin, eight ways in just seven days: firmness, smoothness, skin tone evenness, fine lines/wrinkles, radiance, pore appearance, discoloration, and hydration", plus "Supports cell turnover in only five days." If fine lines are your concern, this belongs in the routine before any second device does.
Add: ageLOC Youth
ageLOC Youth — "a revolutionary supplement built on over a decade of research, formulated to help revitalize your body's natural aging defense mechanisms and promote your youth span." Taken alongside your multivitamin, not instead of it. Note it carries no skin-appearance claim.
Morning
- LumiSpa iO cleanse, two minutes
- Toner
- ageLOC Future Serum or another treatment serum
- Moisturiser
- SPF
Evening
- LumiSpa iO cleanse, two minutes
- Toner
- Treatment serum, or Tru Face Peptide Retinol Complex — retinol belongs in the evening, and replaces the serum on the nights you use it rather than stacking on top
- Night cream
The advanced routine
Supplements
- Morning: LifePak Nano + ageLOC Youth + ageLOC R2 Vitality (Day), which Nu Skin describes as helping "optimize energy production within your cells"
- Evening: LifePak Nano + ageLOC Youth + ageLOC R2 Night, which "optimizes each cell's natural purification process"
- Optional: Beauty Focus Collagen+ and g3 Juice
The day and night formulas are also sold together as ageLOC R2 Night + Day, which saves a little over buying both.
Devices
- Daily, morning and evening: LumiSpa iO — two minutes each
- A few times a week: Nu Skin RenuSpa iO — "Visibly contour, tone, and firm skin through skin stimulation", using patent-pending Adaptive Microcurrent Technology. It needs Nu Skin Conductive Gel ($74), which is an ongoing cost rather than a one-off.

How Long Before Anything Shows
This section used to be a week-by-week table. It has been removed, because it was not Nu Skin's and it was not anybody else's either.
Here is what is actually published. The Future Serum carries Nu Skin's own timeframe: eight improvements in seven days, cell turnover in five. The LumiSpa iO claims "Instantly softer and smoother skin after one use", with the seven benefits described as amplifying over time — no number of weeks attached. Every supplement on this page carries no published timeline at all.
So the practical approach is the one we give on every page: photograph your starting point in consistent light, change one thing at a time, score yourself weekly rather than daily, and judge at ninety days. Anyone promising a transformation in seven days is selling you something — with the single exception of a manufacturer printing it on their own product, which here is the serum and nothing else.
Where to actually start
The best routine is the one you'll keep. Start with the foundation — a cleansing device and a multivitamin, or just sunscreen and a serum if the budget is tighter — and add things as you build the habit. Buying the advanced stack on day one is the most common way people end up with a cupboard of half-used bottles.
And if it turns out not to suit you, you have 90 days to send anything back for a full refund, opened and used included. Nu Skin's published US refund window is 30 days from the purchase date; the extra 60 are ours.
